We publish guest posts from people who know their subject first-hand and have actually done the thing they are writing about. You do not need to be a professional writer. You need to know something our readers do not.

What we are looking for

• Original pieces of 800 to 2,000 words, not published anywhere else
• Specific and practical: names, numbers, places, what to do
• Claims backed by a source we can link to
• A fit with what we cover: Analysis, Breeding, Derby, Handicapping, Profiles, Wagering

What you get

• A byline and an author page with your bio and photo
• A link to your site or profile in the bio
• Editing that keeps your voice and tightens the rest

Send a two or three sentence pitch and a link to something you have written. A finished draft is welcome but not required. We reply to every pitch that fits within a week.
